About Smiling Buddha
A Reading construction company built on doing what we say we will do.
Who we are
Smiling Buddha is a construction company based in Reading, Berkshire, working across Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Newbury, Henley, Maidenhead and the wider Thames Valley.
We take on residential and commercial projects of all sizes: extensions, loft conversions, full refurbishments, new builds and commercial fit-outs. Our own team covers the core trades, and we bring in trusted specialist partners for electrics, plumbing and heating, all managed by us so you have a single point of contact.

How we work
What you can expect from us
The things that matter on every job, however big or small.
Clear communication
A named project lead, a weekly update and straight answers. You will never have to chase us to find out what is happening.
Honest pricing
Itemised written quotes. If something genuinely changes, we agree the cost with you before we do the work, never after.
Quality workmanship
We would rather do fewer jobs well than many jobs badly. Our work is built to last and signed off properly.
Where we work
We are based in Reading and most of our work is within about 25 miles: Reading, Caversham, Tilehurst, Woodley, Earley, Wokingham, Bracknell, Henley-on-Thames, Maidenhead, Newbury, Basingstoke and the villages in between. For larger projects we will travel further.
Insurance and compliance
We work to current building regulations, with building control sign-off on all notifiable work. [Owner to confirm: insurance cover held and limits, and any accreditations such as FMB, TrustMark, CHAS or Constructionline, before they are listed here.]
